On the Lunar New Year’s Day on the 1st, presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol said, “We will open the ‘100-year-old health era’ by expanding the health promotion and leisure activity programs for the elderly.” This is the 27th series of the ‘Heart Attack Promise’, a promise that is closely related to life, which Yoon is making.
The People’s Power Policy Headquarters said, “Existing national sports centers and multi-purpose gyms, such as swimming pools and gyms, are mainly operated by young and middle-aged people. Leisure activity content is desperately needed,” he explained.
Specifically, Candidate Yoon is ▲Expanding senior-friendly sports such as table tennis, badminton, and vitality yoga at the National Sports Center ▲Preparing anti-aging health promotion programs through cognitive care (dementia prevention) sports such as Go and chess ▲Physical therapy, psychotherapy, etc. It presented detailed promises such as expansion of health recovery programs, placement of exercise prescriptions for the elderly, and support for indoor and outdoor fitness promotion programs using cutting-edge technologies such as senior-friendly smart exercise equipment.
In addition, the policy headquarters said, “We will support senior leisure activity programs such as small movie theaters, cafes, and hobby classes so that the elderly can enjoy a prosperous life in their old age.” The government or local government plans to provide incentives such as ‘senior-friendly facility certification’ to sports facilities and leisure spaces that have introduced senior health promotion and leisure activity programs.
Candidate Yoon said, “I plan to pay close attention and do my best for the healthy and comfortable retirement of my parents who have dedicated and sacrificed for the prosperity of the country and the happiness of their families.”
