Sony officially announced MLB The Show 22, the new first-party videogame in the baseball sports series. Like the previous chapter, this one will also be released simultaneously on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and Game Pass, and for the first time also on Nintendo Switch.
MLB The Show 22 is the new chapter of the sports series developed by Sony San Diego, and will debut worldwide on April 5, 2022. The game will be available at full price on PS4, PS5 and Switch, while Xbox players will be able to take advantage of the arrival on day one on Game Pass to play it at no additional cost. In the past Sony has explained that although it is a video game developed by PlayStation Studios, the decision regarding the output platforms rests with the Major League.
The standard edition of MLB The Show 22 will have a cover dedicated to Shohei Ohtani, which Sony showed in the first teaser trailer. The other editions will be unveiled on February 2nd.
