L’Amiens UC Badminton received this Saturday Rueil-Malmaison. A complicated meeting for the Amiens, who lost the heavy score of 8-0.
The days go by and are almost alike for the AUC Badminton flag team, which once again lost. Since the start of the season, the National 3 interclub championship has not been successful for the AUCistes. In a complicated encounter, the Amiénois have not been unworthy, but often behind in the score, they did not know how to get out of the game to take their opponents to the beautiful, while very often a 3rd set would not have been too much. Back to the thread of the meeting
Among women, the Amiénoises Gandolfi / Liard, open the ball and are opposed to Joly / Leverdez Wibowo. A balanced match where there are many exchanges. The rueilloises are more on tactical game automatisms where they excel in putting on speed, but the hosts defend themselves well and try to break the rhythm, they miss nothing of winning the first set (18-21). On the second set, same physiognomy until the break at 11, then a lack of success with a greater number of faults the Samarians will be right, they lose 13-21. 1-0 for the RAC.
On the men’s doubles side, the piece that the pair tackles Maj / Thys (N3 / D9) is rather tough. Opposite, Riancho / Wibowo (N2/N3). A double on paper unbalanced but the AUCistes do not deserve it, they bow just in the first round 18-21. In the second set, same physiognomy as for the women’s doubles, lack of regularity and fewer solutions, they finally lost 10-21. 2-0 for the RAC
Make way for simple
It’s first Audrey Dercourt (R6) who enters in front of Evie Burbidge (R4) but the Amiens knows from the start that it promises to be very complicated. Indeed, the ranking of the English player does not reflect her level of play on this table. The gap is felt, the Rueilloise is concentrated and does not want to leave any doubt as to the course of the match, defeat 4-21, 8-21. 3-0 for the RAC.
The captain Yvon Crepelle is aligned opposite Sabri Medel Youcef, Algerian international. The two players have already been opposed during the first leg, and the match had been relatively disputed. The first set is undecided, the Samarien takes the lead at 20-17 but finally lets slip the Rueillois leading 23-21. In the second set, theAmiens widened the gap, leading 11-3, then let his opponent come back into the game, before winning on the wire 21-18. The third set, at its beginning, is relatively tight, but the Ile-de-France took the lead in the second part of the set and finally won 21-15. 4-0 for the RAC.
In women’s singles 2, Carole Gandolfi, fails in the first set to find regularity. In the second, she is more diligent, the points are disputed more, but she does not manage to pick up the score, she finally loses 17-21 against Margaux Joly. 5-0 for the RAC.
In men’s singles 2, it was going to be very difficult for Matthieu Thys (D7) in front of Vidre Wibowo (N3), beyond the ranking gap, the former Indonesian international is a very good technician. The Amiens lost 4-21, 8-21, but showed commitment without giving up in the exchanges. 6-0 for the RAC.
Mixed to finish
Mixed 1 sees Dercourt / Maj opposed to Medel / Leverdez. If the match ends in a defeat for the Amiens, they express some regrets at the end of it because the march was not so high and a third set was deserved. They lose 15-21 15-21. 7-0 for the RAC.
Mixed 2 opposes Crépelle / Liard at Riancho / Burbidge, in the first set it was difficult for the people of Amiens. The England player is very present in the net game, which complicates things. The Rueillois won this first round 15-21. In the second set, many more solutions for the AUC players, who entered the rhythm and apply more to impose their game. After their recovery to 20-20, they finally lost 20-22. Again not far but ultimately it’s an 8-0 for the RAC.
One more defeat for the Amiens camp which now sits at the last hen place, trailing the Gravelines team by 5 points by 6 on the RAC. A victory on the next day would be good for the AUCistes to allow them not to be left behind and keep the hope of staying in the championship. The meeting will be important, because it is a direct confrontation with the Gravelinois on the menu of the 7th day.
The people of Amiens must remain mobilized to realize all their missed opportunities which will undoubtedly allow them to unlock the counter.
