Archery/Championships of the Haut-Rhin indoors. The favorites ensure Volgelsheim

The effects of the Covid are devastating for archery, as Fanny Gaschy regrets. The young president of the Volgelsheim Archers, who took office in December, notes that sanitary conditions are causing a drop in the number of participants during competitions. “I am nevertheless satisfied with the results of our archers,” she underlines.

The leader refers to the three departmental titles brought back by her protégés, in particular the junior Mary Marciniak who concluded her competition with 464 points in recurve. Fanny Gaschy can also be happy for Sylvain Dietrich, who achieves a good score of 554 points in seniors 1 recurve, distancing Xavier Jacob (Mulhouse CAB) by 27 points. In seniors 1 compound, Luc Pertron (Volgelsheim), the only competitor in his category, totaled 529 points.

Ugo Pribiset hit the nail on the head

Otherwise, the favorites held their rank and imposed themselves in their respective categories. This is the case of Régis Rabineau (Thann), who achieves an excellent salvo in seniors 2 compound bow, reaching 37 times the 10 and 23 times the 9 for a nice result of 577 points.

In recurve, Samuel Millet (Sainte-Croix-en-Plaine) scored 562 points, three more than Luc Ruhlman (Herrlisheim).

On the women’s side, Séverine Wolak (Mulhouse CAB) compiled 515 points, ahead of her club partner Marion Raymond by 29 points. Among the cadets, Ugo Pribiset (Mulhouse STA) obtained 559 points in recurve, hitting 29 times on the 10 and 25 times on the 9. His club partner, the youngest Marie Schmitt, concluded her competition with a nice score of 547 points.
