The Torneig Nacional de Bàsquet Cadet Masculí del Genovés returns to the sports calendar after the suspension of last year’s event due to the pandemic. The traditional national tournament for training categories that CB Genovés organizes in February returns with an 18th edition in which València Bàsquet, Joventut de Badalona and Coosur Betis will compete for the title, together with the host team, CB Genovés. The tournament will be played from February 25 to 27 at the Poliesportiu Paco Cabanes municipal pavilion in the town.
The Torneig Cadet poster brings together three of the best state basketball academies. Joventut and València CB, two “fixed” players in the tournament, two regular clubs at this Genovés event, and Coosur Betis from Seville, which returns to Genovés after doing so in 2014 as Cajasol Sevilla. An attractive poster for basketball lovers in a Torneig Cadet that is already a benchmark at the national level and that serves the participating teams as a “heart rate monitor” to check their level of preparation for the Spanish Championship.
From the CB Genovés they affirm that the cadet tournament «returns with more desire than ever, to continue showing the best training basketball at the national level». The XVIII Torneig Cadet de Bàsquet will be the first of the three tournaments that the Genovés club will organize this season, and that was already proposed in 2020 but that the pandemic cut short. The Club Bàsquet Genovés shows with this tournament that it intends to continue being a benchmark in basketball training categories and “give options to practice sport to all those who seek a way to grow as people with basketball.”
