The “Red and Black” turns 108

On the way to the bicentennial, the Club Atlético Patronato de la Juventud Católica was founded on February 1, 1914 by Father Bartolomé Grella, who considered it an effective tool to bring the children of the neighborhood closer to catechism. Today the institution turns 108 years old.

Although the Rojinegro stood out in different sports activities, soccer is the most popular sport and during these years it is experiencing its best moment with the First Division team, playing its seventh consecutive season in the highest category at the national level.

Located between Grella, San Nicolás, Ayacucho and Churruarín streets in the city of Paraná, the Entre Ríos institution also has other disciplines such as basketball, softball, volleyball, figure skating, karate and judo.

The current stadium is called Presbítero Bartolomé Grella, the inauguration was held on May 30, 1956. It has boxes for authorities and special guests, audience sectors, popular locals and visitors. In addition, it has 22 radio transmission booths and one for the voice of the stadium.
