Rafael Nadal coach Carlos Moya warns Novak Djokovic: ‘Career in great danger’

By winning the Australian Open, Rafael Nadal has trumped his longtime rival Novak Djokovic.

The dream of the 21st Grand Slam title burst early for the world number one due to his deportation from Australia.

Nadal coach Carlos Moya has now warned that Djokovic’s rejection of the corona vaccination could lead to further complications in the future. According to the 45-year-old Spaniard, the great career of “Djoker” could be over if there were no rethinking in this regard:

“It is clear that he can no longer intervene in the fight that he has been fighting for a long time. I think it will be very difficult for him to play another Grand Slam tournament if he does not get vaccinated”, Moya told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.

Never again a Grand Slam tournament for Djokovic?

The Australian Open winner’s coach sounded the alarm. If the Serb, who won three out of four Grand Slam tournaments last year, continues to not follow the guidelines, “his career would be in great danger.”

However, Moya does not believe that Djokovic is against vaccinations per se. The problem is more the stubbornness of the 34-year-old:

“He always defended the right to make his own decisions.” In the meantime, however, the former professional continues, “he finds himself in a complicated situation.”

Djokovic himself announced during a visit to the Serbian President that he would soon publish all the details about his stay in Melbourne.
