At least that’s what Ian Rapoport, journalist at the network NFL Network : « Russ wants to look at his options. I’m not saying he’s necessarily on the way out, but he wants to see what’s available to him. »

Wilson has a no-move clause in his contract, which means he has to approve any trade he’s involved in before it becomes official. Last year, he had provided the staff of the Seahawks with a list of teams where he would agree to be traded. This list included the Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys.

As Rapoport pointed out to The Pat McAfee Show, the problem right now for the Seahawks is that they have no backup at quarterback. So they will be in trouble if Wilson were to leave. Thus, the trade should involve a starting quarterback or promising enough to play next season.

During his career, Wilson won a Super Bowl and was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times. The 33-year-old, who earns $80 million per season, still has two years left on his contract.
