He was expected for years by the badminton community. Badzine gives you the scoop. It should finally appear in the annual calendar: the Salon International du Badminton in Orléans, on April 1st and 2nd. At the helm: the “faizeux” of the Orleans Masters in partnership with Solibad. Exhibitors can reserve space today. For the general public, tickets will be offered later, but owners of a ticket for the Masters will be able to enter for free.
Those who once looked forward to going to the French Open at the Halle Carpentier, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, not only to see the best tricolors, but also to go shopping for all brands, will be delighted : the opportunity will be given to them again during the first edition of the International Badminton Show, which should take place, unless unforeseen, on April 1 and 2. In Orléans and during the Masters, which takes place from March 28 to April 3.
Exhibitors: two days to make themselves known
With a wide audience expected – access to the Show, located a 10-minute walk from the Palais des sports d’Orléans, with tickets giving free access to the show (entrances will otherwise be chargeable) – the first beneficiaries of this new badminton time will be the exponents. Whether it’s the brands, who will be able to publicize their new ranges and sell their products directly to individuals and clubs, distributors who will be able to meet their regular customers and potential new customers, leagues and committees who will be able to talk about their activities or rent rooms to hold their GAs through the course organizers, the multisport hall managers where badminton is practiced, but also clubs with high-level teams who want to present their sporting objectives and recruit foreign players who will be in Orléans and who will no doubt pass through the show, it is the whole ecosystem of badminton which should meet over these two days, April 1 and 2.
“We wanted to launch this first edition by offering exhibitors really attractive prices, so that the event benefits the players in the badminton economy as much as possible and that everyone benefits from it.“explains Franck Laurent, the thinking head on the Show organisers’ side. The latter have until January 15 to benefit from even more advantageous conditions (to reserve a location, simply download the reservation form below)

A unique event in the world
Although some tournaments – in France and around the world – authorize the promotion and sale of several brands, there is currently no event specific to badminton. It is therefore a world first which should be held at the Center des Conférences d’Orléans. An event that wants to be sustainable over time. “Our goal is to launch an initiative that can be taken up and rolled out over time, in Orléans but why not roll out the idea elsewhere, to reach as many people as possible, even outside our borders recalls Raphael Sachetat, the instigator of the demonstration. The President of Solibad also explains the solidarity virtue of the event.
“Thanks to the incredible kindness of the volunteers who manage the organization of the Masters and who have agreed, in addition, to take care of the preparation of this show, this 2022 edition of the Show will see all the profits go back to our programs. charities,” he continues. “I hope that the brands, distributors and exhibitors will follow us, because they are also the key to the success of this show. But it seems to me that everyone is becoming aware of the need to go beyond the simple mercantile aspect and that we must all move towards responsible commercial actions. Even if, for once, it will probably also become interesting financially and in terms of future benefits to participate in this edition »
Additional thematic conferences
Another attraction of the International Badminton Show: thematic conferences will be organized over the two days – the themes are still under discussion – with high-level speakers to bring a real plus to the experience, with round tables which can also be organized by clubs, committees, leagues or various commissions. Para badminton, the media coverage of badminton, the problems of rights inherent in the practice are among the themes for the moment retained, in addition to others which will come to support the calendar of the event.
Reminder: tickets for the Orléans Masters will entitle you to free entry to the International Badminton Show, and can already buy HERE. For exhibitors, the reservation form so as not to miss this unmissable event is a little further up in the article.
