the Lakers host the Knicks, battle between big markets but not really between big teams

It’s the weekend and who says weekend says NBA nights that start earlier. This Saturday, we have six meetings on the program from 11 p.m. Six meetings, including a shock on the national antenna near Los Angeles. Finally “shock”, way of speaking huh.

# THE PROGRAM FOR SATURDAY 5 FEBRUARY

  • 23h : Magic – Grizzlies (sur beIN Sports 3)
  • 1h : Hornets – Heat (sur beIN Sports 4)
  • 1h : Wizards – Suns
  • 2h30 : Lakers – Knicks
  • 4h : Blazers – Bucks
  • 4h : Kings – Thunder

# THE MATCH OF THE NIGHT, FINALLY ACCORDING TO US

Lakers – Knicks (2h30) : to our left, the Lakers: legendary franchise playing in Los Angeles and supposed to play for the title this season. On our right, the Knicks: mythical franchise (although much less titled) evolving in New York and supposed to return to the Playoffs this season. Said like that, the poster has a mouthful. When you have the two biggest markets meeting, it’s always an event on the NBA calendar. The proof, the meeting is broadcast nationally, in prime time. But a Lakers – Knicks in February 2022 is really not a dream. The two teams have almost the same record, and it is very disappointing on both sides (25-28 for LA, 24-28 for NY). Both teams are on a bad dynamic, with four defeats in five games on each side. LeBron should not play because injured, Julius Randle simply does not know how to play anymore. So why was this match selected for the “match of the night”? Even we don’t know.

# ALSO WATCH

  • Ja Morant is doubtful against Orlando. No doubt he prefers to keep his madness for opponents of his size.
  • The Hornets are in a tough spot right now. Three losses in a row and the Heat coming to town, watch out for the slide.
  • Incredible but true, the Suns lost a basketball game a few days ago. The Wizards could therefore take a tariff.
  • The Blazers began the explosion of their major five. They could also explode against the Bucks.
  • Kings – Thunder, all without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. There’s absolutely no reason to watch this game, other than maybe Josh Giddey.

Night not crazy but we will be satisfied. Six games is enough for our happiness. Come on, meet at 11 p.m. to start the evening off right with Robin Lopez’s hook shots.
