This Sunday, February 6, at 8 p.m., the 2022 African Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Egypt will be broadcast unencrypted on the TMC channel, which belongs to the TF 1 group. The broadcaster of the entire the competition, BeIN Sports, will broadcast the match on its main channel, BeIN Sports 1, with Samuel Ollivier and Robert Malm on commentary. On TMC, it is the duo made up of Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu who will comment on the final of the 33rd edition of the CAN.

In the semi-finals, the Teranga Lions confirmed their status as favorites against Burkina Faso. Aliou Cissé’s players won (3-1), thanks in particular to goals from PSG players, Abdou Diallo and Idrissa Gueye. With its golden generation, Senegal will try, for the first time in its history, to win the African Cup.

Sadio Mane against Mohamed Salah

Quite the opposite of Egypt, which holds the record for continental trophies, with 7 African champion titles, the last won in 2010. The Pharaohs, carried by Liverpool player Mohamed Salah – who will face Sadio Mané, his partner of attack in the Reds -, brought down the organizing country, Cameroon, in the semi-finals at the end of the penalty shootout (0-0, 3-1 on pens).

This is the third time that the Egyptians have qualified after regular time after the round of 16 against Côte d’Ivoire (0-0 at the end of regular time and 5-4 on pens) and in the quarters against the Morocco (2-1 in overtime). The CAN final will also be the poster for the play-offs at the 2022 World Cup, which will be played on March 24 and 28 between the two teams.
