Do you remember the hugely popular Wii Sports? Most likely yes, and perhaps that’s why Nintendo has chosen to continue the series on the Nintendo Switch.
At today’s Nintendo Direct, the Kyoto house has officially announced Nintendo Switch Sportswhich will see players play with each other in a collection of six sports consisting of soccer, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton and chanbara.
Players will be able to play with friends and family locally or online, or challenge other users near and far with Nintendo Switch Online. To play we will use the Joy-Con controllers, which will reproduce the movements we will perform in the real world. It will also be possible to connect the leg strap, included with the card version, to a Joy-Con to kick the ball in Penalty mode. A seventh sport will be added with a free update in the fall, namely the golf.
Nintendo Switch Sports will be available on April 29, and pre-orders are open now. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will also be able to participate in an Online Play Test on February 19th and 20th to help Nintendo conduct an online connection test.
