We did the GR 20 in Corsica, a few times a year, we leave for competitions, accompanied by the whole family. Then, in sport, when you are in the effort, there are emotions that come up, it’s quite strong. So when Annick proposed to Lucie Saturino and me to participate in this raid, I was delighted.”

However, one who has fallen into this discipline “a little crazy” what triathlon is thanks to his brother, will not only leave in the middle of the Indian Ocean to “the timeline”. Sport in the morning and charity in the afternoon
Created in 2001, the Raid Amazones has the particularity of being a multi-sport and 100% feminine adventure. From March 27 to April 6, every morning, the 270 “amazons”, grouped in teams of 2 or 3, will compete in different sporting events: trails, run and bike, archery, 17 km of kayaking and mountain biking.
The afternoons will be devoted to the Sri Lankan population. In particular, by helping them in their professional tasks, or by intervening in schools to provide pens, notebooks or other school materials.
A competition also at the service of associations. Indeed, each team competes for an association of its choice. Then, at each edition, the organization defends a cause and donates part of the money from registrations. Enough to respect the leitmotifs of this raid: solidarity and conviviality.
