The celebrities will be back, but the competition will still be fierce when the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am kicks off on Thursday. Expect the usual Bill Murray antics, and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and World Series champion Mookie Betts are other stars in attendance. But the focus will be on victory for the biggest names, like FedEx Cup champion Patrick Cantlay. He is the 15-2 favorite in the latest 2022 Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am betting from Caesars Sportsbook. Other standout golfers on the Pebble Beach Pro-Am course include Jordan Spieth (20-1), Jason Day (20-1), Justin Rose (28-1) and Maverick McNealy (28-1). Defending champion Daniel Berger (back) and rising star Will Zalatoris (COVID-19) have been forced to withdraw.
Are favorites Cantlay and Spieth the best choices for your 2022 AT&T Pro-Am Pebble Beach Fantasy golf picks? Would a veteran like Justin Rose (28-1) give him a better chance to cash in with his 2022 Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am Fantasy golf picks? Before closing your own fantasy golf rankings or betting on the 2022 Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am, you need to check fantasy golf projections and lineup tips from fantasy expert Riley Gates.
Gates is a writer for 247Sports and has covered a number of sports for nearly five years. He has followed golf closely for much longer and has a deep understanding of the sport. He also knows what it takes to win, on the field and in fantasy sports.
In last week’s selections for the Farmers Insurance Open, eight of his picks finished in the top 25. Among those picks were Jon Rahm and Day, who were in contention on the final day and finished within one stroke of a three-way tie for third place.
The pundit has been on a roll this season. At American Express, four of his top five picks finished in the top 15. He also nailed it in the Sentry Tournament of Champions, where four of his top seven picks finished in the top five.
And in the Hero World Challenge, again four of his top seven picks finished in the top five. Anyone who has followed Gates is way up there.
Now, Gates has ranked his top 20 golfers of the course from the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. You can only see his fantasy golf rankings and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am picks on SportsLine.
2022 Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am picks expertos de golf de fantasía
Gates is very fond of Spieth this week and is banking on him to make a strong run. The former phenom and three-time major champion missed the cut last week, but that was his first event with a bye weekend in his last 21 tournaments. On Wednesday he visited the hospital for a stomach bug and opted not to retire, but did hit 78 in the second round. Gates hopes he will bounce back this week at Pebble Beach, where he won in 2017 and tied for third last year.
On the other hand, the expert does not expect any more surprises from Day and fades him this week. The 34-year-old hadn’t finished higher than 49th and missed a cut in all four of his events before finishing in contention at Torrey Pines last week. He hasn’t won an event since 2018, and is 149th on greens in regulation and 117th in driving accuracy. He has eight top-10s at Pebble Beach, but his inconsistency has Gates walking away from him this week.
How to Set Your 2022 Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am Ranking
For this week at Pebble Beach, the fantasy expert is rooting for a huge long-term player who is listed around 50-1 at Caesars. This veteran has three straight finals and has been shooting regularly into the 60’s. He’s also one of the best putters on the circuit, and Gates considers him a must-have for his fantasy golf picks at Pebble Beach.
