ATP > Tsonga: “I beat Djokovic four times in a row, but that didn’t help me make history”

Jo‐Wilfried Tsonga is one of the players who came very close to winning a Grand Slam title. Novak Djokovic prevented it in the final of the Australian Open 2008. And behind, the Frenchman dominated the Serb for two years in tournaments in two winning sets. In an interview with Eurosport, Jo spoke about this great series.

« After the 2008 final, I remember beating Novak four times in a row, but that didn’t help me make history, because none of these victories allowed me to win a Grand Slam. It’s the hardest thing. I’m proud to have played against him so many times, to be one of the few players who could beat him many times, even when I was behind in the standings“, underlined the Manceau.
