The football players of Ajax have simply won the make-up game at sc Heerenveen 4-0. Thanks to the victory, the team of trainer Danny Schenkel has narrowed the gap with leader FC Twente to two points. Ajax has also played a match less.
Because Ajax was unable to mobilize enough players a few weeks ago due to multiple corona infections, the game from January 21 was postponed to February 1. But in the days leading up to the rescheduled game, the corona infections at sc Heerenveen rose again. It was then decided to move the game to February 9.
However, the duel between the number two and number eight of the competition had to be stopped quickly. After about ten minutes of play, a dog came running onto the field. The owner managed to catch the animal quickly after which the game could be resumed.
