Preparations are underway for the AICS regional kick boxing and martial arts championship, which will be giving away the coveted Sicilian titles. The important event will take place on Sunday 13 February (starting at 9.30) in Messina, in the Montepiselli gym, and includes the following disciplines:
Low Kick; K1 Style; Full Contact; (full contact combat sport); Semi Contact; Light Contact; Kick Light; K1 Light; (light contact combat sport); Self Defense; Forms; Katà; Committee; Karate Point; Weapons Combat.
About 100 members, coming from different provinces of the island, plus some representatives also from nearby Calabria. In the program, the “Prestige Fight” match stands out, which will pit Giuseppe Saltalamacchia from Team Giande from Lipari and Davide Barbieri (Team Criseo from Vibo Valentia). “It promises to be an important appointment from a technical point of view – declares the president of AICS Sicilia Lillo Margareci -, but the signal we are giving matters a lot, proposing an event of this magnitude in a moment that we all hope will be a definitive restart. There is a need for enthusiasm and a desire to confront each other to find the right stimuli. I thank the affiliated clubs and the teachers, who with their invaluable collaboration will allow us to experience an intense and pleasant day of sport and competition “.
