Fernando Morientes has only taken a few hours to respond to the words of his former teammate Nicolás Anelka. The former French striker went through the RMC microphones to review his stage in the white team, he was very critical of his former teammates and blamed his poor performance on Morientes: “In Madrid it was the only place where I didn’t get along with the players. It was hell. The difficult thing was playing with Morientes”.
The former Spanish striker did not hesitate to reply to the Frenchman this Friday: “I had a good relationship with him, I don’t know why he gets into those gardens. The bad thing is that in each interview he points to one, sometimes Raúl, sometimes me. Here it was well received but the problem that Nicolás Anelka had was Nicolás Anelka himself”.
Nicolás Anelka, who arrived at Madrid becoming the most expensive signing in the club’s history at that time (33 million euros), he only played one season for the white team. He played 33 games, scored seven goals and gave six assists.
