Campanil goes out to recover ground in Chilean parquet

To the distant January 16 goes back the last meeting disputed by the University of Concepción in the National Basketball League (LNB), occasion in which he went to beat Puerto Montt as a visitor. After that, between the BCL Americas and the pandemic they have conspired so that the university team cannot return to the Chilean circuit.

The first factor was part of what was planned, since the schedule for this first semester had the international participation of the Campanil as a mandatory stop. The second, however, has been the most unwanted and has been complicating the programming at the auricielo store, which should have been a simple spectator for three full dates due to positive cases of Covid-19.

This will be behind us at last this afternoon when, Starting at 7:00 p.m., the university students face CD Las Ánimas, in the Gymnasium of the Huachipato Complex in Talcahuano. A duel that will mean the official return of Basket UdeC to the Chilean tournament, where it is the only undefeated player.

ready for the return

This Sunday, February 13, Campanil Basket will repeat at home in Talcahuano, this time against Atlético Puerto Varas, who has just taken away the undefeated Colegio Los Leones.

Duels for which according to the auricielo point guard, Sebastián Carrasco, they are prepared. “I see the team quite well, it seems to me that in the Champions League the national players had a very good performance and we hope to do the same here. I have seen the whole team well in training, eager to start the national tournament after this inactivity. I think we have the weapons to be able to take the games with us,” he stated.

For his part, Evandro Arteaga, maintained that “we are fine, we have already trained several times on the Huachipato field where we will play local. We continue to practice our game, our system and way of playing and I think we are in good shape. One has walked through many gyms and different floors, so that goes into the background. The most important thing is that the team finds the game, its rhythm and that it finishes getting stronger”.
