Following a thorough investigation by the Departmental Security, a 19-year-old young man, unfavorably known to the police, was arrested on Tuesday, February 8, in the context of two cases of violence with a weapon, use of narcotics and degradation property of others.
On September 13, in fact, around 10:30 p.m., rue Costa-Brava (Lemasson), a dozen hooded individuals armed with baseball bats, iron bars, golf clubs and, it seems, a long weapon, landed, against the backdrop of a turf war, aboard two cars and a motorcycle. They damaged five parked vehicles before fleeing.
A new wild outfit
According to witnesses, shots were even fired. The investigations made it possible to find the DNA of an individual on an abandoned golf club on site. At his home, the police got their hands on herbal cannabis and €330. But he remained untraceable.
Rebelote, on the night of January 26 to 27. Around midnight, rue Costa-Brava was once again the subject of a wild outfit. A dozen individuals arrived this time in a whirlwind, hooded and armed with baseball bats. One of the defendants was even carrying, according to witnesses, a handgun.
When the police arrived, everyone had left the scene. But a car will however be apprehended by the municipal police with three individuals inside. Among which a 15-year-old boy injured in the thigh with a knife. The latter will then point the finger at the young person actively sought since September 13 by the police as being his attacker.
Under judicial control
Apprehended at the beginning of the week therefore, the mis en cause appeared, this Friday afternoon, before the judicial court. He asked for time to prepare his defence. Pending his trial, postponed to April 8, he was released under judicial supervision. He is required to clock in twice a week and is prohibited from coming into contact with the victims, carrying a weapon and leaving his home between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
A 14-year-old carried a gun
In addition to long-term investigations, more specific operations, at the request of the public prosecutor, make it possible to fight against listed nuisances. These are called operational partnership groups because they are coordinated by several departments.
In this so-called daily security framework, this Thursday evening, February 10, during an operation carried out by the national and municipal police, a 14-year-old teenager was arrested, still in the Lemasson sector, in possession of a 9 mm. He also had 25g of weed and packaging material.
A major, for his part, was apprehended while concealing a knife and a tear gas canister. Finally, it should be noted that a grocery store that has already been the subject of administrative warnings in the past for selling cigarettes has once again been found to be in violation for selling tobacco.
