No electricity, no scoreboard, no bratwurst for the fans. Because payment is made via a digital payment system. Particularly bitter for the VfL supporters: Herbert Grönemeyer’s anthem before the game could not be played either.
But the game is played anyway – and Sky can also show the game. The transmitter transmits with emergency power.
The stadium is not the only one affected by the power outage. The juice is also missing in the vicinity of the arena. Stadtwerke Bochum are already working to repair the damage. With success: After about 20 minutes, the score was lit up again on the scoreboard.
