“Go with the rhythm, go with the wind, Jamaica wins, I can feel it!”. This was the motto shouted in chorus by the four Jamaicans in the bobsleigh, in the Italian version of the film “Cool Runnings” (Quattro Sottozero, 1993) which told the epic of that team that incredibly managed to qualify for the four-a-side bobsleigh race. Calgary 1988 Olympic Gamesfor the first time in the history of the country.
After some editions in which Jamaica has continued to participate in the various Olympic versions of bobsleigh races (in particular in the two-man bobsleigh, also for women), a men’s four-man bobsled team has again qualified for Beijing 2022, more than twenty years after the last time (Nagano 1998).
The memory of the 1988 feat of Dudley Stokes, Devon Harris, Michael White and Chris Stokes is very present in the history of sport and world folklore, revived by the beautiful 1993 film and remembered over time as an example of almost unique determination and commitment. The occasion of Beijing 2022 is therefore perfect to welcome the new Jamaican four-man bobsleigh team with a playlist that we have created and published on our profile Spotifyand which incorporates some great classics of reggae music in line with the party atmosphere of an Olympics and the indomitable Jamaican spirit.

The first two heats of the four-man bob in Beijing 2022 are scheduled for Saturday 19 February. The third heat and the final for the medals are scheduled for Sunday 20.
