Participating in the 18th edition of the Club World Cup as winners of the UEFA Champions League in 2021, Chelsea won the final on Saturday February 12 against Brazilians Palmeiras, winners of the last Copa Libertadores. In Abu Dhabi, the English won 2-1 after extra time. Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring (55th), then Raphael Veiga equalized from the penalty spot (64th). Kai Havertz finally scored the winning goal, also from the penalty spot (117th). The Blues succeed Bayern Munich on the list. This is the first time they have lifted this trophy; in 2012, they lost in the final to Corinthians.
