With the call of all national players born in 2004 and 2005, the Dominican Baseball Federation (FEDOBE) begins the formal recruitment for the team that will be participating in the World Cup in Mexico.
The information was released by the highest body of Dominican baseball indicating that the team and the organization begin their preparation for the tournament in Los Cabos, Mexico.
“We invite all the leaders and coaches of the country to send their best exponents who have the conditions to be part of the national team, starting this Saturday at the Cibao Stadium, and continuing in the National District, San Cristóbal and ending in Higüey” reported Juan Núñez, president of FEDOBE.
The call for the North Zone will hold its showcase at the Cibao Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros, home of the Águilas Cibaeñas, while the South Zone will have its victories at the Temístocles Metz Stadium in San Cristóbal on February 19.
Players from the National District and Greater Santo Domingo will be appearing on field number 2 of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center on Tuesday, February 15, and for the East the home will be the Los Transformadores play in Higüey on Saturday, February 26.
Álvaro Samboy, technical director of Fedobe, clarified that the showcases are open, for all players of 17 and 18 years of age, and they will also be received with 16 years of age, and that they play all positions.
These activities are part of the entire FEDOBE program during the year, who recently reported their calendar where children’s baseball stands out.
