Granma will remain among the sports powers in Cuba

Bayamo.- THE VICE PRESIDENT First of the Inder, Raúl Fornés Valenciano, affirmed this Saturday here that the province of Granma is growing in sports, physical education and recreation, and that there is no doubt that it will remain among the three best territories in the country in sports results.

This was expressed in the concluding session of the two-day visit of the sports organization to the province, which took place at the headquarters of the governorate before directors of the Party, the Government and the Inder.

During these conclusions, the also deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power insisted on the slow implementation of the new Inder-Mined joint resolution, when there are only a few weeks left before the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

He highlighted the construction of the new physical culture gym in the center of the capital city, and called for turning it into the first mypime in the sports sector in the country.

He also addressed issues related to the inclusion of baseball as a reason for class, and the need to create means and implements with their own efforts.

Fornés Valenciano carefully praised the operation of the Campechuela sports team, which he described as a true sports city at the municipal level.

It was in this territory that they began their Saturday activities precisely, by attending an open revolutionary tribune shortly after dawn, and the activities scheduled in the aforementioned sports complex.

In that central space, he was able to confirm the strength of physical culture and recreation actions, but above all the practice of many sports…Basque pelota, basketball, tennis, athletics, soccer, softball, judo, baseball, wrestling, boxing, shooting arc and others showed their potentialities.

In the area of ​​archery, he was impressed by the creation of güira bows and pinotea arrows that serve perfectly for sports initiation.

Sharing in the place with Federico Hernández, First Secretary of the Party in Granma, a boost was given to the intended baseball player of the municipality, which will occupy an area adjacent to the sports team itself.

Hernández then ratified that no sector such as sports has such a high mobilizing power in the province, referring to the hard tasks undertaken in the first two years of the covid-19 pandemic.

Fornés Valenciano also traveled to Pilón to learn about the experience of the Sierra Maestra Sports Complex. There he highlighted the work with children and adolescents in 14 sports, but drew attention to the difficulties of the infrastructure.

EMPHASIS ON INFRASTRUCTURE MARKS VISIT TO CIEGO DE AVILA

Ciego de Ávila.- The vice president of Inder, Omar Venega, recognized here today the advances in sports matters, at the end of the integral visit that the organization made for two days to the territory.

In the concluding act, which was attended by officials from the Party and the Government in the province, he highlighted the work being done in the municipality of Morón. There, maintenance and remodeling works are carried out on emblematic facilities.

Sports practice also stood out in that municipality and in the provincial capital. In this sense, Venega expressed the need to increase the massiveness in the territories where similar results are not achieved.

The work group also pointed out as a deficiency the little improvement of the technicians and recommended addressing the relationship with the university.

Other remarks were related to the quality of the facilities, among which the Punta Alegre nautical base, affected by a meteorological event, is of great concern. There the deterioration is considerable and threatens the quality of the internal life of the students.

At Eide and Epef, measures are taken for not only structural improvement, but also to optimize the pedagogical process. The approach to the student body allowed listening to their problems and intending to search for solutions.

Venega congratulated Avilanians for what has been achieved at the Paquito Espinosa Stadium, where they work tirelessly to develop the areas and host sports such as 3×3 basketball and five-a-side baseball.
