Badminton is gaining ground in Senegal, an established federation

A giant step made by the National Badminton Promotion Committee. Indeed, this new discipline in vogue in Senegal has officially installed its federation.

Set up by ministerial decree a few months ago, the National Badminton Promotion Committee (CNPB) is officially a federation, after two years of existence. This change occurred at the end of the General Assembly of the committee held yesterday Saturday. This new federation will be led by Antoine Diandy, who was elected by acclamation. Antoine Diandy said Tony’s mission will be to organize, develop and promote the practice of badminton throughout the national territory.

Having become a sport related to tennis, it is played in singles or doubles with a racket and fairly light balls. It is practiced on a small field 13 m long and 6 to 7 m wide, separated by a net. Since 1992, badminton has become an Olympic discipline.
