The 2022 season for the European champion national team kicks off. Coach Federico Pizzolini‘s girls leave for the United States for two weeks of work and friendly matches
The new season of Italian softball is about to start. Gathering at the CONI Olympic Preparation Center of theSorrel Water and then an intercontinental trip to the United States to kick off the preparation of a medium-transition competitive 2022, which puts World Games from 9 to 13 July in Birmingham, Alabama, and European Championships (with a title to defend) in Sant Boi in Spain, from 24 to 30 July. The blue expedition, which will be led by the manager Federico Pizzolini e dal senior advisor Mike Candreabegins with the entrance tests, which took place yesterday and then will continue in the States, based on Tucson in Arizona, until Tuesday 22 February, ending a Palm Springs in California, where the national team will train and play friendly matches until Sunday 27 February.
“This away match represents a starting point for the new course – says the blue manager Federico Pizzolini – Despite the presence of some, let’s call them, veterans, the group is very young and full of many athletes who are part of the National Under 22 and Under 18. Our task will be to evaluate the work of all, but also to focus on this that the girls of these two youth national teams can contribute to give also with a view to their employment in the senior national team.
