Parma baseball announces that it has reached an agreement for the next competitive season with the French-Canadian pitcher Marc Andrè Habeck.
Habeck, born in Winnipeg (Manitoba) on 11th December 1993, is a right thrower who has already wore the Parma Clima uniform in the 2019 championship, ending with the record of one win and three defeats and a pgl average of 2.48 in 36.1 shots .
Habeck previously played with Frank Phillips College (NJAA) and Georgia State University in 2013 and 2014 (2015-16).
In 2016 he made his debut in the French championship with the Huskies of Rouen and in 2018 he played in the Italian Serie A championship wearing the Padova uniform (4W-7L, mpgl of 4.54 in 73.1 shots).
Habeck, who will play with the status of community athlete, has also gained important international experience with the French national team. In 2015 he took part in the Universiade, in 2016 he played the qualifying round for the World Baseball Classic in Panama and in 2019 he distinguished himself at the European senior championships.
In the last two seasons he has returned to Canada due to the global pandemic and played in the Independent League with the teams of Sioux City, Kane County and Fargo-Moorhead.
