A member of the Judo Club of Montastruc-la Conseillère since the age of 4, Pierre Marty, a 15-year-old high school student and resident of Bazus, has joined the restricted circle of black belts of his age.
His two club teachers, Pierre Destouesse (7th dan black belt) and Youcef Missouri (4th dan black belt) quickly passed on his love of judo. The very young judoka knows his first experiences of refereed fights around the age of 7-8 years during interclub meetings.
More motivated than ever, the youngest of 10 years old takes part in many official competitions. Result: in five years, he has accumulated more than ten podiums and titles in departmental and regional competitions. Beyond the regional perimeter, it participates in international competitions. He obtains a second place in the Mini National Excellence Tournament. He won a very honorable 9th place out of 55 participants from all nations in the very challenging International Mini Tournament of Saint-Cyprien.
2020: the pandemic deprives Pierre of indoor sports practices for more than a year. In the spring of 2021, he resumed training relentlessly with the black belt in sight.
Autumn 2021: these are the first competitions since the start of the health crisis. Pierre wins many fights by “ippon”, and in particular wins a second place in the Regional Cup of Occitanie, validating at the same time the competition component. Pierre obtains, therefore, at the minimum age required, his black belt. A great moment of happiness shared with his family and his club.
After achieving this extraordinary goal, he continued the momentum by finishing first in the Grand Prix regional d’Occitanie cadet d’Auch.
The 8 values of judo accompany Pierre the judoka. It is therefore very naturally that they are transposed into his life and that they provide him with a healthy framework in which to accomplish himself.
