The Judo-Club du Quercy Vert continues its sporting career where many members regularly shine in local and regional competitions. Here is the list of the meetings that marked the start of 2022 and honored the club’s young hopefuls.
First of all, here are the results of the selection for the regional championship minimal categories – cadets – juniors which took place in January in Réalmont (81). The 1st gold medal in the cadet category goes to Hugo Iordanov (-50 kg), qualified for the regional championship which will take place on Saturday March 12 in Toulouse, qualified for the French 2nd division championships which will take place in May 2022 in Clermont- Ferrand. The precise date will be confirmed to us later by Mickaël Delon Federal Technical Advisor Lot and Tarn-et-Garonne judo committee. Unfortunately, Teddy De La Fuente (-66 kg) did not qualify.
During the weekend, a silver medal in the minimal category rewarded the work of Anthony Folsom (-46 kg), qualified for the regional minimal cup. Among the juniors, Christian Gikapa (-81 kg) automatically qualified for the regional junior championship. For the interclub tournament – Tarn-et-Garonne label, the mini-poussins(e), poussins(e), benjamins(e) categories took place magnificently in mid-January in Meauzac. A total of 28 judokas from the Judo Club du Quercy Vert took part in this tournament organized by the TRT Judo (Tarn and Rives du Tarn Judo).
