It could well be that Standard will soon be taken over by the investment company JKC Capital.
According to Het Nieuwsblad, JKC Capital made an offer for Bruno Venanzi last weekend. It currently holds 99 percent of the shares.
Canadian John Cayka is the man behind JKC Capital. He is collaborating with American Jared Porter for the bid.
The intention is to take a majority stake in the club and take over the day-to-day management. They want to play along with a series of transfers directly at the top. Investments would also be made in the youth and the women’s team.
