Jayson Tatum provided 38 points and helped the Boston Celtics to their 8th straight win, 105-95 over the Atlanta Hawks.
Tatum also added 10 rebounds in just over 40 minutes of play.
Tatum was helped by 17 points from Jaylen Brown, 14 points from Derrick White and 13 points from Marcus Smart. Robert Williams excelled under the basket with 14 rebounds.
Behind by 10 points after two quarters, the Cetics offered a 42-point push in the 3rd quarter to take the lead and they raced to victory.
In the Hawks camp, Trae Young had a productive game of 30 points and 10 assists. Bogdan Bogdanovich added 26 points in the loss.
Thanks to this victory, the Celtics are approaching two games behind the 76ers and the 5th rank in the East.
Atlanta has lost its last two games, and five of its last ten meetings.
Timberwolves win against Pacers
With 37 points, Anthony Edwards led the offensive charge for the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 129-120 win over the Indiana Pacers.
Minnesota notably took advantage of a productive 3rd quarter of 41 points to resist the Pacers.
D’Angello Russell contributed 23 points and Karl Anthony Towns contributed 15 points and 13 rebounds.
In the loss, Tyrese Haliburton scored 22 points and added 16 assists.
Oshae Brissett was successful with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Lance Stephenson had 21 points for the Pacers. Jalen Smith finished the game with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
The Pacers have now lost their last six games.
