Super League: Anderlecht wins the classic phase before the start of the playoffs

The classic phase of the Super League is not yet completely over since discounts have yet to be played. Standard, for example, has two games to catch up (against Genk and Zulte at the start of March) and OHL, which is second, must play Charleroi on February 27.

But even if matches still have to be played, one certainty is already recorded: Anderlecht will finish the classic phase in the lead and will start the playoffs in first place. With their 1-4 victory in Zulte, Johan Walem’s RSCA Women increased their lead over the Louvanists to four units, which makes it impossible to return to the OHL standings before the playoffs.

A position worthy of the reigning Belgian champions that they are but which, given the start of the season, remains a very good performance, OHL having almost led the entire first part of the season while Bruges, after a good start to the championship, fell back a bit.

For the playoffs, we will therefore find Anderlecht, OHL, Bruges, Standard (which can move to third place in the event of 6/6). It remains to determine the last ticket. Neck and neck, Ghent and Genk have the same number of points (29) but the Limburgers, who remain on an impressive 18/18, still have a game to play. At Standard. One point will be enough to steal the last place.

The Super League will resume after the Red Flames’ internship in Spain for the Pinatar Cup.
