NFL: Odell Beckham Jr. has suffered a torn left anterior cruciate ligament

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Backham Jr. likely suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the Super Bowl LVI game his team won 23-20 against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night.

Beckham left the game in the second quarter due to the injury and did not return. Previously, he caught two passes for 52 yards. He also scored the game’s first touchdown.

It will be the second such injury to the same knee for Backham, who had missed 9 games after being injured in the 7th week of activities of the 2020 season. It comes at a very bad time, while he is about to become a free agent.

The Rams only have $14 million in wiggle room for next season, but Beckham has already said he’d be willing to take a pay cut in order to stay with the team.
