The two Millau teams will play at the highest departmental level.

The second phase of the Aloa-Ufolep championship starts again this week. Three pools of six teams have been formed, Saint-Beauzély and Laguiole are joining this new phase.

The two Millavoise teams finished at the top of the first phase and will be in pool A. They will evolve with Vallon I, Sévérac, MJC Rodez I and Villefranche-de-Rouergue. The first two games in pool A will take place this Thursday, February 17. Millau-Larzac will receive Villefranche-de-Rouergue and Millau-Lévézou will challenge the MJC of Rodez.

Saint-Beauzély, with several experienced players, was able to join pool B directly. To best prepare for the recovery, the volleyball players went to challenge the Sévéragais who are playing in pool A for a friendly match last Thursday. This move was beneficial because the Volleyeurs de Saint-Beauzély managed to compete with the Sévéragais who have a fairly powerful service and attack game. With their weapons and their mischief, the visitors got the better of their evening hosts and prevailed (14-25 / 25-15 / 26-28 / 19-25). The Saint-Beauzéliens were full of confidence before their first league match. While waiting for a gymnasium to be operational in the village, the volleyball players will meet in Millau, at the Puits-de-Calès gymnasium. First meeting on Thursday 17 February with the Onet Le Château first team. Saint-Beauzély will also cross paths with Bozouls, Laissac, Réquista and team 2 of the MJC of Rodez.

The Millavois ensure outside

This Sunday, February 13, the players of the two Millau teams were out in the departmental championship.

In the first division, team 1 made up of Cynthia, Sigrid, Léonard and Jérôme went to Rodez in very small numbers following the injuries and cases of Covid of certain players. The four Millavois did not let themselves be dismantled. They snatched the draw against Villefranche-de-Rouergue in the morning. In the afternoon, after a restorative break, they returned to the field to face Rodez. They won 5-3, like in the first leg.

In the second departmental division, team 2, meanwhile, played in Villefranche-de-Rouergue. After leaving at dawn, the Millavois badistes faced those of the Monastery in the morning, against whom they snatched a draw.

In the afternoon, the meeting was against the players of Rodez. Millau largely won 6-2. These victories classify the formation of the city of the glove at the head of its pool and allow it to access the play-offs which will take place during the next meeting.

The appointment is made for March 20 during the next day of the championship for team 1. Team 2 will play its play-off matches on April 10.
