Baiba Bendika started with the 50th number in the sprint competition. She had two mistakes in the first shot. After that, it was not possible to shoot accurately at any of the next shots (one, two and one more mistake), which led to the concealment of a total of six penalty laps.
In terms of pure skiing, Bendika had the 35th best speed on the track, while also taking 48th place in the finish line, which was also the finish line.
Bendika previously took 58th place in the classic distance in Beijing, making six mistakes. With these results she did not qualify for the mass start, respectively she has finished the Beijing Biathlon competition, because Latvia does not have a relay team. She also started in cross-country skiing, where Bendika still started in 30km skiing.
Previously, in the 2018 Pyongyang Games, Bendika was above 40th in all three disciplines (39th in classic and sprint, 33rd in driving).
