ARCHERY. PARA-ARCHERY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS: THE BLUES OF THE COMPOUND ADVANCE

Yesterday first arrows for the Para-Archery World Championships Dubai and immediately good indications for the national team. THE RESULTS OF THE MALE COMPOUND – Both archers of the compound men’s national team advance and after qualifying they also had to face the first elimination round. Matteo Bonacina concludes the 72 arrows in twenty-seventh place with 651 points, then beats the Slovak Martin Doric 139-136 and qualifies in the round of 32 where he will face the Turkish Bulent Korkmaz. THE RESULTS OF THE FEMALE COMPOUND – At the top of the individual women’s ranking of the women’s compound at the end of the 72 qualifying arrows is the Singapore athlete Nur Syahidah Alim with 680, the same score as Tatiana Andrievskaia, while at 674 there is the British Jessica Stretton. The first of the blue is Maria Andrea Virgilio with 672 points and fifth place, Eleonora also enters the top twenty Sartifourteenth with 656 points, and Giulia Fishsixteenth with 653. All the blues are qualified for the round of 32, Sarti will face the Korean Choi Na Mi, Pesci will face the British Jodie Grinham, while Virgilio will challenge the Spanish Carmen Rubio.

In the race a teams, in which two archers will take the field, Italy closes the qualification in fourth place with 1328 points behind Turkey (1344), Great Britain (1342) and RAF (1329). The placement allows the blue to go directly to the quarter-finals where they will face the winner of Iran-Iraq.
