After Paul Wanner, FC Bayern has signed Gabriel Vidovic as the next up-and-coming talent with a professional contract.
As Munich announced on Wednesday, Vidovic has prematurely extended his contract by two years until 2025. According to Bayern, this will be converted to a professional contract on July 1, 2022.
“He should take the next step with our professionals”
Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic commented on the extension as follows: “Gabriel Vidovic is a player who is technically very talented and who creates a great danger of scoring from the gaps. He has been with us for six years, received excellent training at the FC Bayern Campus and should take the next step with our pros.”
The Croatian U21 national player is happy about his next career step with the German record champions: “I am very happy about the trust the club has placed in me and I would like to thank everyone at FC Bayern who have supported me on my way so far. I know that this was only a small step, but I will do everything to be able to play for FC Bayern for a long time to come.”
Vidovic moved from FC Augsburg to the Bayern campus in the summer of 2016. With twelve goals and seven assists (20 games) in the regional league, the youngster is the top scorer for Bayern amateurs this season. Vidovic also trains regularly with the professionals under Julian Nagelsmann.
