With the release of another one of his movies in June of this year, LeBron James‘ activities outside of the NBA continue to grow. The LA Lakers superstar will produce the film Hustle along with a good friend Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Company. Co-producer Adam Sandler, Queen Latifah, Robert Duvall, and Ben Foster form a strong cast that makes the Netflix launch a highly anticipated event.
The story will revolve around the character of Sandler, who is a real-life basketball fan. Juancho Hernangómez of the Utah Jazz will take on the role of a young hopeful who has the talent to make it big in the NBA. Sandler’s personality is that of a former basketball scout who will go to great lengths to bring the unknown player to the United States to play professionally.
James and the producers assembled a veteran cast who are expected to do the heavy lifting on the film. Anthony Edwards, Kyle Lowry, Tobias Harris, Trae Young and Seth Curry are among several NBA players set to appear in the film.
Expectations are high that the movie will do much better than the last movie “King James” was in. The four-time champion was the main actor and producer of the film. Space Jam: A New LegacyIt didn’t do too well in theaters.

LeBron James’ spectacular play on the basketball court didn’t translate to his portrayal of a basketball player in his own movie. While the movie space jam 2 won enough in theaters, the 18x NBA All-Star didn’t do well in the acting department.
The Golden Raspberry Awards, or what is popularly known as the Razzies, nominated LeBron James in two categories. His lead role garnered a nomination for Worst Actor and a nomination for Worst Screen Couple with any Warner Toon Character.

Adding further insult to injury was the film’s nomination for Worst Picture and Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel.

The “winners” of the Razzie Awards will be announced a day before the Oscars. The embarrassing nominations could force LeBron James to put his acting career on the sidelines and probably stick to producing.
