According to the people of Salzburg, some of those affected suffer from “rather mild symptoms” and are in quarantine in accordance with official requirements. In response to the positive tests carried out after a two-day break in training, hygiene and safety measures around the team have been stepped up. No spectators are allowed during the training sessions. All public events will also be canceled or postponed.

Salzburg’s sports director Christoph Freund explained in this context: “We are currently still ready to train and play. However, we now have to monitor the further development of the uninfected players very closely in coordination with our medical department and react to them if necessary.
