JUDO: People from Amiens at the Label Excellence International Tournament in Thionville

This weekend took place the Tournoi Excellence International cadets and seniors in Thionville. Four judokas from Amiens, including two from Judo Amiens Metropolis Picardy and two of theASC Judo were fighting there.

Sunday February 20, for seniors, three people from Amiens went to the tatamis of Thionville. Thomas Ferreira in -66 kg, Luka Lomidze in -100 kg and finally Georgi Daidani in +100 kg.

Two senior medals

Luka Lomidze in the -100 kg category, licensed at Judo Amiens Métropole Picardie, finished the competition by being tournament runner-up. Coached by his trainer Nicolas Kanning, he continues to impress. ” He confirmed his good form by finishing 2nd. We are proud of him ” emphasizes his club. Thomas Ferreira, JAMP also, in the -66kg category, lost him in the first round and will not be drafted.

Georgi Dadiani in +100 kg is basic junior. However, already having his place in the French junior championships thanks to the ranking list, the judoka from Amiens went to the senior excellence label tournament to train before France. He finished on the 3rd step of the podium. His CSA coach, Thibault Denis satisfied with him, tells us more about his career: “He had a great competition, he lost in the quarter-finals, but he was able to pull himself together. He had more difficult fights than when he was a junior and he was able to develop good judo. There, he made five fights, which really allowed him to prepare for the future”.

Saturday February 19, also took place in Thionville, the cadet excellence label tournament, where Maia Pecqueux in -44 kg went there and won the 2nde place. Accompanied by his two coaches from the Amiens hope center, Kelly Molinari and Ilana Korval, the youngest was able to prove herself this weekend. His club coach, Thibault Denisin which she is licensed, tells us more about her career: “ this second place allowed him to score points for the national ranking list.
