Shiho Tanaka (Judoka) – Wikipedia

Shiho Tanaka (jap. Shiho Tanaka; * June 29, 1998) is a Japanese judoka. In 2019 she was Asia Pacific Champion.

Shiho Tanaka fights in the weight class up to 70 kilograms. In 2017, after losing to Yōko Ōno in the semifinals, she achieved her first Grand Slam podium with third place at the Tokyo Grand Slam tournament.[1] In 2018 she won the Kodokan Cup, where she had already been second in 2017. In 2019 she won the Asia Pacific Championships. Shortly thereafter, she also won the gold medal at the Universiade in Naples. At the end of 2019, Shiho Tanaka won the again Kodokan Cup.

In December 2021, Tanaka competed as a middleweight at the Japan Open Division Championships and won the title. In February 2022 she won her first Grand Slam title at the tournament in Tel Aviv. In the final she defeated Sanne van Dijke from the Netherlands.[1]
