Nice harvest of medals for the Archers of Boé

On the weekend of February 12 and 13, the regional indoor championships took place. Those concerning young people were held in Lescar (64) and those concerning adults in La Roche-Chalais (24).

The indoor league championships at 18 m organized by the club “Les Compagnons de l’arc” in Lescar brought together 105 archers from the chick to junior categories. Lot-et-Garonne was well represented by the clubs of Marmande, Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Tombeboeuf and Boé which alone fielded 13 young people (two had not been able to travel due to Covid).

The results of these indoor youth league championships were eloquent: victories and gold medals for Robin Lavie (youngest), Eva Cabrerizo Deswazière (youngest) and Nino Bitria (youngest). The Archers of Boé have retained this last title for three years. Note the 4th place of Matthias Teyssedre de Marmande (youngest). Silver medals for Julie Cedo (minimes) in front of the Marmandaise Lucie Filhastre, for Julie Michel (junior) in front of the Villeneuvoise Cindy Nefflier as well as for Hugo Lafforgue (junior) in front of his comrade from the Archers de Boé, Lucas Defevre (these two archers faced in the semi-finals in an intense match won 6-4 by Hugo). Also bronze medal, Yvon Laforgue in minimal.

All these medalists will compete this weekend in the French youth indoor championships in Cholet (Maine-et-Loire) and will be accompanied by the young Boétiens: Léon Fongaro (youngest), Pauline Grelot (youngest), Lola Loiseau Majeau (minimum) , Léo Defevre (youngest) and Victor Sarroste (junior pulley).

During the adult regional indoor championships, Romain Septier (Archers de Boé) climbed on the second step of the podium and will compete in the French championships in Vittel (Vosges) on March 4 where he will be accompanied by Sandrine Fialon (7th in the league). More than ever, the Archers of Boé, particularly among young people, shine in the firmament of French archery.
