grant, thanks for joining us. We all know all-Star Weekend is about celebrating the best of the best in the NBA, but it’s also renowned for its share of hilarious moments. This year’s Shaqtin’ a Fool segment certainly didn’t disappoint. What were your initial thoughts when you first saw the highlights?

Grant hill: I always look forward to Shaqtin’ a fool. It’s lighthearted fun, a welcome break from the usual intensity of games.

This year’s edition had some real gems. It’s funny as even the most elite athletes [chuckles] are human and can have moments like these. I think it’s vital to remember that, and not take ourselves too seriously. I loved the Clutch Challenge bloopers with Scottie Barnes and Tyrese Maxey — those missed layups were truly something else! It highlighted that sometimes, even the simplest things can be surprisingly difficult under pressure.

You make a great point, Grant. It serves as a reminder that even the biggest stars are still trying to hone their craft. Now, we all know Shaq loves to playfully rib these guys, but do you think Shaqtin’ a Fool ultimately helps fans connect with the NBA players on a more human level?

Grant Hill: Absolutely. I think shaqtin’ a Fool humanizes these athletes, makes them more relatable. It’s a good laugh for everyone involved, players included. most guys will joke about it, maybe even use it as motivation to improve. At the end of the day, it’s part of the fun and entertainment value that makes the NBA so appealing.

One of the things that Shaq verdady highlights in Shaqtin’ a Fool is how hilarious basketball can be, even when it’s not going according to plan. From awkward falls to air balls that just seem unfeasible to miss, the compilation is loaded with laughs. Do you have a personal favorite Shaqtin’ a Fool moment from any year?

Grant Hill: Picking just one is tough, there have been so many classics! I remember this one time, back in the day, when Ben Wallace, an unbelievable defender, got wholly faked out by a behind-the-back dribble. He ended up tumbling into the stands, face first. It was one of those “you had to be there” moments, the crowd roared, and Ben was good-natured about it,which made it even funnier.

I can only imagine the laughter that erupted from that one, grant! Those behind-the-back dribbles can be tricky to defend against! Now, looking back at this year’s collection of bloopers, who do you think deserves the top spot on Shaq’s list of blunders?

Grant Hill: That’s a tough question! It’s going to be a close race. I think those repeated missed layups by Scottie and Tyrese might be hard to beat, but LaMelo Ball’s unconventional alley-oop attempt definitely entertained me. It was just so creative, but ultimately, let’s face it, a bit ridiculous. Shaq will probably have a tough time choosing.

Well, we’ll have to wait and see who reigns supreme in Shaq’s eyes. grant, thank you so much for your time and insights. It was a pleasure having you on the show. We appreciate your outlook on Shaqtin’ a Fool and All-Star weekend blunders.

Grant Hill: The pleasure was all mine. Thanks for having me.
