The Cordoba Arena recently hosted the launch of a comprehensive martial arts program, attracting over fifteen athletes eager to showcase their skills. The event featured demonstrations of Sambo, Judo, Ju Jitsu, thai Box, and Muay Thai, highlighting the adaptability of these disciplines for individuals of all abilities and backgrounds.
Attendees witnessed impressive displays of technique, including weapon use and disarmament tactics, primarily relevant to armed forces and public security personnel. notably, female athletes emphasized the self-defence applications of these martial arts, demonstrating their potential as vital tools in risky situations.
This new program, running from Monday to Saturday, offers specialized training in Judo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Sambo classes are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays during the same timeframe. Recognizing the importance of accessibility,the program offers free monthly tuition for children and adolescents from low-income families. The standard monthly fee for children and adolescents is $150 pesos, while adults can participate for $300 pesos per month.
