Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick, revealed that there were two players who missed the Premier League match against Watford. Edinson Cavani and Scott McTominay are still sidelined.
At Old Trafford, Saturday (26/2/2022) night WIB, MU vs Watford was held. Cavani is still recovering from a groin injury. Meanwhile, Rangnick reveals that McTominay is still sick.
“He (Cavani) hasn’t trained with us, so he won’t be playing tomorrow’s game and the same thing happened to Scott McTominay,” Rangnick said. BBC.
“He’s still sick, he hasn’t trained with us, so hopefully he will start training again with us next week, but in tomorrow’s game they both won’t be able to play,” he added.
The duel with Watford is important for United in an effort to secure a top four position. Currently, MU sits in fourth place in the Premier League standings with 46 points from 26 games.
Arsenal chased MU, which occupies fifth position with a collection of 45 points from 24 matches. Three other teams are also ready to overtake MU if they slip. West Ham United (42 points), Wolverhampton Wanderers (40 points), and Tottenham Hotspur (39) are competitors for the Red Devils to reach the Champions League tickets.
MU should be wary even though Watford is a bottom team. In the first round of the English Premier League, MU lost 1-4 to the 19th-placed team in the Premier League standings.
The Hornets have only won five Premier League wins this season, one of which was against Manchester United. Watford have now collected 18 points from 25 games.
