250 housing units will come out of the ground on avenue de Verdun in Saint-Raphaël

The municipality had already signed a land anticipation agreement with the public land establishment (EPF Paca) to conduct an intervention policy in the Le Printemps district in order to carry out a social mix operation of 250 collective housing units.

Of these buildings that will come out of the ground, 30% of the apartments will be in social rental.

Wednesday evening, during the last city council, the elected Raphaëlois approved an amendment to this agreement in order to bring the maximum amount to seven million euros.

The EPF has already acquired 16 properties corresponding to more than 4.2 million euros. The City wishes to continue the reflection on the influence of the project, the programming, the development of public spaces, the operating mode.

In support of the study procedures initiated by the municipality, the EPF is continuing with land acquisitions.

A brand new leisure center at the golf courses

The initial sum of the financial commitment of five million euros is therefore no longer sufficient. The amendment thus aims to increase it by two million euros in order to purchase new properties on the site.

The land in question is located between Pédegal, Avenue Aurélienne and Avenue de Verdun, opposite the Azur Satory Club sports hall. “We are attentive to this district”, concluded the mayor of Saint-Raphaël, Frédéric Masquelier.

Still in the approach of development and equipment of the territory, the municipal council took note of the project of reconstruction of the leisure center of the golf courses.

The current building on the communal land located on Allée Francis-Gurrey, Valescure district, obsolete, will soon be demolished to make way for a building with a surface area of ​​1037m2 which will accommodate up to 120 children, aged three to six.

It will consist of a reception hall, administrative premises, storage, annexes, three activity rooms, a dormitory, a refectory with reheating office, toilets, technical rooms, outdoor activity spaces and parking areas.

This brand new Leisure Center without accommodation (ALSH) will operate on Wednesdays and during school holidays and will also have a multipurpose room which will be used throughout the year for municipal and association activities in the district.

The construction project, designed with environmental qualities, control of energy consumption (management of solar gain and natural ventilation, LED lighting) has obtained “Mediterranean sustainable buildings” certification., silver level.

Biosourced materials with a wooden frame, a low-carbon floor (reduced greenhouse gas emissions), insulation in cellulose wadding or wood wool will be used during the construction site. Particular care will be given to its environmental integration with acoustic devices implemented to minimize noise pollution for local residents.

“The pine forest will be preserved. I have been asked to preserve the trees and we will see to it”, confirmed the chief magistrate.

Deliberations in brief

Sports grants: 1,460 euros for the Raphaëloise sports association of rhythmic gymnastics in order to cover the costs of first-time memberships of the “youth card” system.

futnet tournament: 15,000 euros have been awarded to the association Futnet raphaëlois (tennis ball) which wishes to organize on July 15, 16 and 17 the second edition of the Estérel Futnet Cup, a high level tournament with the best teams in the world, exhibitions and entertainment on Place Coullet.

Judo: 3,800 euros to the Saint-Raphaël judo association for the organization of its tournament labeled by the French Judo Federation, qualifying for the final stages of the French first division championships, on April 23 and 24 at the omnisports complex

The Riviera du golf: 50,000 euros will be donated to the association golf et tennis club de Valescure for the organization of the 54e edition of the Omnium Riviera, golf tournament by teams made up of a professional and amateurs, from March 24 to 27. Also a grant of 1000 euros to implement the 57th edition of the Tennis Open which will welcome 500 participants this summer, from July 30 to August 13. And 5,000 euros for the development of golf and tennis schools which bring together 200 children supervised by professionals.

Stage access: 700 euros were awarded to the Accès Scène association as part of the organization of the second edition of the national singing competition “Les Si-gales de Saint-Raphaël”.

Hotel School: agreement to sell with the hotel school company of the Côte d’Azur to build a hotel school and a social student residence with seasonal accommodation, boulevard du Cerceron, Epsilon 2.

Frescoes: creation of a permanent work, within the framework of the festival of street art scheduled for June, at the two electrical transformer stations on the Esplanade du Débarquement. Frescoes which must pay homage to the Landing of Provence and the assault of the 36e US infantry division.
