Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis, the terrible children of Australian tennis, won the Australian Open in doubles on Saturday by beating their compatriots Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell 7-5, 6-4 in the final. Kyrgios and Kokkinakis notably beat in the tournament the seeds N.1 (Mektic-Pavic) and N.3 (Granollers / Zeballos).
“Nick, I love you brother! We never imagined it would come to this or even come close“, said Kokkinakis who is slowly coming back after a big shoulder injury in 2015. “It’s a dream come true. I’m super happy and I don’t even know what’s happening to us. But I know that big boy (Kokkinakis) is going out partying tonight. Girls, let’s go !”, launched Kyrgios.
