Big success of the omnisports holiday week

The holiday week at the end of February is an opportunity for young English people, who are not leaving, to relax in the town. The municipal sports school (EMS) had therefore offered a multitude of activities from Monday to Friday.

For this year 2022 the success has been significant. Patrick, sports teacher, head of the EMS explains: “We put the registrations online one day at midnight. By noon we were full with lots of pending requests. We relaunched the business and took twelve additional registrations but no more because it takes a calculated framework. So, this year, thirty-six young people from 6 to 12 years old are registered and I have with me two specialists David and Alexandre.”

Indoors and outdoors, the activities have multiplied with canteen breaks or picnic meals, at the Forum, on Tuesday afternoon, cries of joy burst out over two workshops in the large hall: archery and blowgun when arrows and darts arrive well positioned on the targets.

Matthew, 10 years old “I like this Cupid workshop which reminds me of movies”. Advice, supervision are on the menu before a break for all. Health constraints in the locker room, the joy of sharing is visible and during the discussions, some are already talking about Easter week.

The program for the week: Monday, racket sports (badminton, ping-pong, speed-ball), swimming pool. Tuesday, jung in door, archery, blowpipe, fireball, urbanball. Wednesday, indoor team sports (kin-ball, tcoukball), outdoor team sports and swimming pool. Thursday, team sports and circus games. Friday, hike in Vaucluse.
