Former Jeonbuk Provincial Government Deputy Governor Woo Beom-ki, who is expected to run for mayor of Jeonju, Jeonbuk Province, promised to establish a badminton business team at the Jeonju City Hall.
Former Lieutenant Governor Woo made this statement at the Jeonbuk Badminton Association (Chairman: Shim Yong-hyeon) unity tournament on the 26th.
At the meeting, former Deputy Governor Woo Woo said, “Jeonbuk will be attracting attention as a mecca for badminton clubs across the country, and we will establish a business team to inspire pride among badminton clubs in Jeonju and expand the base of daily life sports.”
In addition, he added, “We will work hard to open the school gymnasium as soon as possible in consultation with the Office of Education in order to alleviate the inconvenience of badminton fans who are limited in their activities due to the closure of sports facilities in public institutions.”
Former Lieutenant Governor Woo, who is running to win the presidential election for candidate Lee Jae-myung until the presidential election on the 9th, is serving as co-head of the Balanced Development Committee and general manager of Jeonbuk, and co-chair of the People’s Special Task Force on the People’s Participation Platform.
